Aluminum Wall Cladding in Los Angeles for 5420 Sunset

REQUEST INFORMATION

5420 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles: 735 apartments with ForMe Design aluminum wall cladding.

The 5420 Sunset project is a large-scale mixed-use residential complex in the heart of Los Angeles, featuring 735 apartments and 95,000 sq ft of ground-floor retail space. Designed by TCA Architects, the building interprets Hollywood’s architectural heritage through a contemporary reading of Art Deco and Streamline Moderne, with a language based on horizontality, essential forms, geometric lines, and material finishes.

The distinctive value of the project lies in the customization of the curved Battens 50 in Light Ash finish, developed by ForMe Design to respond to a particularly complex architectural requirement. Where other systems on the market were unable to provide a suitable solution, ForMe Design carried out a dedicated process of trials, technical evaluations, and testing, ultimately defining a bespoke element capable of following balconies, corners, and dynamic façades without interrupting the continuity of the architectural design.

Within this composition, ForMe Design aluminum wall cladding, distributed in the United States by Omnis Panels, is not limited to completing the building’s aesthetic expression, but becomes a technical response to the project. The curved Battens 50 introduce rhythm, depth, and precision across the façade, demonstrating how production flexibility and customization capabilities can transform an execution challenge into a distinctive feature of the architecture.

FINISHES

Light Ash - RAL D911

The 6″ V-Groove Cladding in RAL D911 finish completes the building’s solid surfaces with a regular and precise texture. The dialogue between aluminum slats, wood-effect tones, dark metal elements, and glazed openings creates a contemporary façade that combines material warmth, urban solidity, and execution quality.

Above street level, the complex includes landscaped courtyards and a resort-style pool deck, with views toward the Hollywood Hills, Griffith Observatory, and the Hollywood Sign. In this context, the façade becomes part of the residential experience, mediating the relationship between private space, the city, and the surrounding landscape.

The use of aluminum ensures lightness, durability, dimensional stability, and low maintenance, all essential qualities for a large-scale building in a high-traffic urban setting. For the North American market, ForMe Design solutions are supported by international certifications and tests that strengthen their reliability for outdoor architectural applications.

5420 Sunset Boulevard shows how aluminum wall cladding can become a design tool capable of combining identity, technical performance, and long-term urban value.
