Aluminum slatted false ceiling for Vèrdica residential complex in Bari

REQUEST INFORMATION

A contemporary residential project, where aluminum becomes a design statement.

In the heart of Poggiofranco, one of Bari’s most vibrant and fast-growing neighborhoods, Vèrdica comes to life: a new-generation residential complex that blends sustainable architecture, living comfort, and durable materials. With 110 units spread across 17 floors and over 27,000 sqm of total surface, Vèrdica redefines urban living through a balance of nature, technology, and comfort.

In this high-profile architectural context, ForMe Design was selected to enhance the shared areas with the installation of an aluminum slatted false ceiling: the SKIN system in powder-coated RAL Class 2 D817 brown, precisely integrated into the building’s material and elegant architectural language.

A choice that merges aesthetics, technical performance, and a harmonious color palette drawn from the natural materials featured in the project.

The SKIN system: balance between function and design

The SKIN slats, applied to the ceilings of entrances and shared pathways, create a continuous and orderly visual rhythm that guides movement and defines the space with discretion. The chosen color – RAL Class 2 D817, a warm and intense brown – perfectly complements natural stone, integrated greenery, and glass surfaces.

Beyond its strong visual impact, the SKIN system offers:

  • technical concealment of utilities with easy access;
  • acoustic improvement thanks to the interplay of solid and void;
  • resistance to wear and atmospheric agents;
  • lightweight structure and fast installation due to its modular aluminum frame.

A system designed to provide visual continuity and technical comfort, ideal for premium shared spaces, where an aluminum slatted false ceiling becomes a true feature of rhythm, function, and architectural identity.

A fluid dialogue between materials, light, and vegetation

In the Vèrdica project, the use of aluminum in RAL D817 finish acts as a unifying design element. The slatted aluminum ceilings not only define the spaces—they shape them, manage natural light, and enhance the relationship between materials: stone, glass, and greenery.

Like a modern interior brise-soleil, the SKIN system delivers visual lightness and architectural depth without weighing down the environment.

Architecture that breathes with nature

In the Vèrdica project, aluminum is not a mere structural component—it becomes part of the architectural narrative. The ceiling-mounted metal slats shape the space without enclosing it, guide the light, and create harmonious relationships among materials.

As an interior brise-soleil, the SKIN system adds depth and elegance to the project. The perceived quality of the spaces is elevated, as is the sense of continuity between indoors and outdoors: external façade cladding connects visually with the ceiling inserts, contributing to a cohesive and refined design language.

High-end residential architecture and aluminum: a winning pair

The Vèrdica project proves how intelligent materials can play a key role even in the interiors of next-generation residential developments.

Once limited to facades or roofing, aluminum now finds new expressions in unexpected contexts, elevating the architectural quality of shared spaces. External façade cladding is no longer confined to the envelope—it expands, evolves, and becomes a tool for storytelling, shaping semi-public areas such as entrances, porticoes, and corridors.

Thanks to the SKIN system, ForMe Design delivers a subtle yet powerful intervention, capable of offering aesthetic coherence, clarity, and material harmony.

Another strong example of how aluminum solutions are not only durable and high-performing, but also adaptable to contemporary architectural languages—where the aluminum slatted false ceiling becomes a fully integrated part of the project’s identity.
